Sorry for the lack of posts, but daily life has been keeping me busy. I have quite a few recipes I want to be sharing soon, but each of them needs a little tweaking before doing so. For those of you who follow my blog on Facebook, I mentioned that my husband and I had a cook-off last weekend for our 6th wedding anniversary. I won't say who won (I mean I wouldn't want to brag or anything... just kidding!!!! ), but we both made some great steaks and side dishes. I'll share our recipes over the next week or two. I'm re-making one of them tonight, so hopefully you'll see a new recipe post tomorrow.
What else is going on??? Well, I've taken on a cool job of watching a friends little boy twice a week. He's a doll and it will be good for my 3 year old to get better with sharing and taking turns. Plus, it adds more structure to our day. However, it does leave less time for blogging, but that's okay, it just means I have to make sure my posts are top notch when I do get them up! Right?! :-D
I am also participating in the Project Food Blog competition hosted by Foodbuzz. There are a little over 1800 blogs participating and I believe ten challenges. After the first challenge, which starts this week, only 400 blogs will remain to compete. Each challenge will narrow the playing field a little more. The winner will receive a $10,000 prize and be a featured blogger on Foodbuzz for the next year. Pretty cool huh? I think it should be fun and I'm hoping that it will help me become a better blogger through the process. Plus, what a great way to share recipes and information about how to eat more traditionally with organic food and healthy grains, fats and meats, and using methods that have been lost in most homes. I hope I get all of you (my readers) to support me during this, I would greatly appreciate it!!! I've said (written) it before, but please share with me ways that you think I could improve my blog. Constructive criticism and helpful insights are always appreciated!! You can email me at artistta@gmail.com.
Besides the things I've mentioned above, I've also got a couple of other projects in the works, which I'll share with you in the coming weeks. Oh and we of course can't forget some new artwork, if I can find the time to actually get it done! :-)
Okay, that's it for now. I hope you all are having a wonderful Tuesday and check back tomorrow when I'll share a great recipe for leek soup. Perfect for the cooling weather.
I can't wait for that leek soup. I am in need of some new soup recipes to serve with some of my bread. I'm excited to hear about your cook-off too!
